Message to motorcoach operators, tour operators, drivers and group leaders
The APGT and its members would like to welcome all its partners to Montréal!
Here are a few tips that will help to make your stay the best it can be:
- Engine: By-Law 90 of the City of Montréal requires all motorcoach drivers to cut their engine when their vehicle is stopped. This is to preserve air quality and keep noise pollution to a minimum. Thank you for helping us keep our city clean.
- Notre-Dame Basilica: No motorcoach is authorized to stop or to drive in front of the Notre-Dame Basilica. Feel free to ask your APGT guide about the parking and boarding zones located near Place d’Armes.
- Traffic: Due to the numerous events taking place each year within the territory of the City of Montréal, the streets are subject to frequent traffic interruptions. Your APGT guide will be glad to assist you in choosing an appropriate itinerary for your plans and will inform you about parking options.
- Guiding license: Municipal By-Law G-2 requires that all persons performing a guided tour within the territory of the City of Montréal must have in their possession their tourist guide license from the City of Montréal for the current year. This license must be carried by the guide while on duty.
- Membership card: Each APGT tourist guide must own a personal membership card as well as a municipal license.
Looking forward to assisting you on your next Montréal stay!
